The Accommodation at West View Guest House

West View has been professionally decorated to a high standard and has central heating throughout. The walls are also decorated with original photography, paintings and sculpture. Our house is totally non-smoking.

The Prestige and Causey Pike rooms are complete with ensuite walk-in showers in a large bathroom, heated floor, toilet and wide wash basins. The beds are King Size, with one room having a Super-King that can be split into a twin if required. The large walk-in wardrobes have tea and coffee facilities.

Regular rooms have en-suite shower, basin, toilet, plus tea and coffer facilities complete with a standard size double bed.

All rooms are supplied with a range of toiletries from The Soap Company, Keswick, with remote control TV, clock radio, hair dryer flat screen TV with 38 digital channels. All the beds are provided with comfortable quilts and pillows with freshly laundered white cotton bedding together with fresh white towels.
You will take breakfast in the Dining Room with views across to Causey Pike and Grizedale Pike.

Your breakfast will be one of more than 240 million variations on offer (we counted them!), including fruit juices, porridge and cereals, yogurts, breads, toast, home madejams and marmalade,  home made fruit salad, dried fruit, fresh fruit (we can prepare a smoothie from your favourite fruits), and cook the biggest and tastiest Full English (Eggs, Bacon, Sausages, Baked Beans, Mushrooms and Tomatos) you will have ever seen or eaten. All cooked breakfasts are made to order, with no nonsense of having to choose the night before; and of course fresh FairTrade Tea and Coffee.

The Guest Lounge is on the first floor and is a superb place to take in the views and just relax. It also houses a collection of Wellcome pharmaceutical memorabilia. This includes original tea tablets from WW1, Bromide Tablets, and the first inhalers used for asthma. Several magic lantern projectors are also on show. The lounge also has a large collection of non-fiction books for browsing. Small groups and families who can use it as their base during their stay particularly appreciate the Guest Lounge.
